Trip to Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort was amazingly beautiful and baronial. Monumental structures out of granite with battlement all around let my mouth agape in excitement. I was doom by the city chaos of traffic and certainly was looking for silent refreshing high hills. Walking and climbing till apex of the fort and taking snaps through four corners of Hyderabad trying to point out the directions of our hostels and colleges was a happy moment.

Out of curiosity, browse through little history and found out that Golconda Fort was capital of major province of Sultanate (Muslim country in the past) and was first built by Kakatiya dynasty. Golconda derived its name from Golla Konda in Telugu, meaning “shepherd hill”. According to legend, a shepherd boy found an idol in the area and when it was reported to the Kakatiyan king, he ordered a mud fort to be built around it and the following rulers keep extending the area. Today, it covers around 10km circumference and 400ft height which remains India’s most magnificent fortress.

I wonder about the huge granite rocks dressed perfectly and used over high walls which is impossible even with the modern engineering tools and wonder most when I see the strength it holds for many centuries. So, the aesthetic view is of no question.

People with various religion and from different region are visiting the place with full energy. Some with material offerings, some with prayers and many with just digital cameras. Full blink of eyes all over, sometimes breaking into dashes among unknowns yet everybody was friendly and walk away with beaming smiles. I came to realize the blessings of such a great fort over happiness of the people visiting the place.

In the midst of click and snaps, I overheard somebody saying about Bollywood film “Tere Naam” being shot inside the fort. I downloaded the movie and watch it out of curiosity. Salman Khan in coma was in this fort for religious treatment when medical science proves no live. Finally recovering was the blessing but Bhumika Chawla who died unknown was his another misery.

Whatsoever, trying to live and adjust with different environment was not so easy for last few days. But the hopes for betterment gives me strength to move on. Thank you Bhutanese friends for organizing get together party. The dinner was special and introducing new friends after a kick from little drinks were awesome moments.

The trip was enjoyable and sights are amazing. And this happens all because of you all. Thank you all once again.

Thangzor-The Heaven

Flat hilltop with summer meadows and cool breeze winter wind that swallows up the ill mood and let amiable happiness blossoms in the heart of living beings. The abode of Thangzor, the heaven, thus derived its name from its beautiful co-existence with nature.

Rumors says, the place is cremation ground and beliefs to believe that there exist demon and monsters appeared. History to agree with when I see the existence of Chorten to subdue and diminish the power of demonism. Therefore, Royal Bhutan Army choose the area for firing practice. Later the couples choose to date to cherish their relationship. This place remains silent and isolated accept for couples and RBA trainers for they need privacy for their secret means.

When in the verge of transition of human existence into modern era, the modernity believed no beliefs. So, the decisions to create the place into sport complex and residence for the resident of JNP made the real change. The place emerge out of isolation and become the trip destination which appeared more beautiful.

Thangzor
Several occasion, Sundays and holidays are the times for families for dry picnic and friends for casual walk with casual talks. Couples for romance. They all select this place and choose to stay until spectacular sunset. Unbelievable was I then to realize my wonderful peacetime staying there was God-given when I start missing every moments I spent at this place.

Dear elders, your advices are considerate, decisions are thoughtful and companion are wise and memorable. Never moved so far and when I do, I got adoring memories to cherish. I have been good friends to everyone, if I wasn’t then at least I tried my best to be one. Believe me, because I got friends of equal genders without age limit. Kids to play with and share intellectual innocence to learn new things. Friends with secrets and big secrets of all the Ara and Wine. Sweet smell of wine letting into sniff and sip and swirl through the buds and throat resulting into expectorating sometimes. Secrets are to be kept within and words are to be spoken. When Ara is well known for unlimited words then secrets got no place to hide and bury. This is what I meant by saying, the best buddies ever I had and you got to called Thangzorpas.

Residing and taking refuge of Thangzor with peace of mind and happiness for last one year, I undoubtedly with pride would like to say Thangzor-The Heaven, the best residence of Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic.

Fleeting Glimpse of Ten Days at Hyderabad

Every journey begins with missions and there are sacrifices to be made. It’s hard to leave behind beloved friends and family. It’s harder when I have to face traumatized behavior of new people and place. I was excited taking flight with bliss experiencing completely new feelings but also sad to see the disappearance of beautiful valleys with meandering rivers and green hilly mountains. Landing at Kolkata and taking another flight to Hyderabad let me recollect all kinds of pollutions, noise being the most disturbing.

Kolkotta Airport
I felt guilty unable to respond to the polite greetings of air hostess. There’s lot to learn from their politeness in our daily attitude.

Knowledge about JNTUH as premier university and toughest in academic prompted me to be extra careful and sincere was I then to be the first to report and do admission as international students but the idea completely bewildered me when we are asked to go back to our country and report back after one and a half month. Miscommunication among concerning agencies was then the cause of our suffering when they don’t have any support for accommodation despite our repeated enquiries and earnest request. Most irritating was when they kept us waiting and told us to come back the next day. With so much hope we exchanged mails with RCSC, EdCIL, RUB and JNP to help us convince JNTUH and get us at least accommodation to the earliest but was hopeless to learn there’s no accommodation which contradicts to their provisional award statements. Victims are we then to simply face the difficulties when everyone tries to be at safer side of their actions.

Travelling more than 50 kilometers a day by auto and landing up entering expensive restaurants for lunch cost us half of our 5 months stipend just to get admission letter and almost all our stipend gone when we finally shifted to our new private owned hostel which cost us Rs.18, 000 per month. Friends from my homeland staying here are kind enough to feed us with breakfast and dinner until then.

Nehru Zoological Park
Nevertheless, we tried staying away from those albatross sometimes and have good times as well.

We were received by Bhutanese working in Hyderabad along with few undergraduate students. Strangers are we to meet at Rajeev Gandhi Airport and went so close like brothers within no time. That’s the real charm of being Bhutanese, having to stay away from home.

Visiting new places is what I always love to do and so the planning never fails. Hussain Sagar Lake with famous standing Buddha stupa was our first destination followed by Nehru Zoological Park the following day. Usually, Buddha Stupa and Churches are found where everyone can come easily for worship but here is business for some, entertainment for many and very little or none there to worship. Riding board was exciting but seeing the kind of strange scenario was abhorrent.

Hussain Sagar Standing Buddha
Nehru Zoological Park was big enough to compare with Thimphu City with diverse biodiversity. Creativity and hard work to create such amazing place was appreciable but sad to see animals and birds under fencing and cage like they are in the prison. Sacrifices of animals are the business of people and it’s very sad to see different world than I assumed.

Zoo
I have also visited Malls and Big Bazars and Vishal Market is still on my list. There’s nothing we can’t get at Hyderabad but the money matters. For last 10 days I have been seeing the world so different and I am now preparing to look at it very differently for I have to adjust with this world for next two years.
